Let us tell you a little story
If you're looking for a profound story about why we started this brand, you won't find it here. We aren't trying to change the world, we weren't born with an inch that only this could ever scratch. We love sourcing great coffee, we love brewing it, and we get sheer joy from drinking it.

THE GREAT RABBIT HOLE
After quitting my job as a brand strategist, I wanted to start something of my own. I had a natural affinity towards coffee. I wanted to start a cafe, a canned beverage, and even an app! But, what I lacked was a foundation, it was important to have a strong back-bone to support my ambition. I wanted to do it right. I did a couple of roasting courses, I passed by CQI Q Grader in the first attempt (its like the cracking the highest entrance exam for the coffee industry).

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
We hate the words 'coffee lovers'. It's a cliche that completely misses the mark. It belongs on a mass produced mug in a gift shop. You don't call someone who waits in line overnight for a pair of sneakers a 'shoe lover'. Coffee lover doesn't even scratch the surface of an obsessive, particular community that is misunderstood by the mainstream. A 'Beanhead' is traditionally defined as a foolish person. And while everyone else might think your obsession is foolish, we don't. We are Beanhead Coffee.

WE LIKE OUR INDEPENDANCE
We have no investors, no eyes on an exit, and our board meetings happen at our breakfast table. We are a family-owned and operated coffee roastery based in Mumbai, and we wish to remain this way. We exercise this independence to do what we feel is right, because our only obligation is to our coffee and it's drinkers. This ensures that when you drink our coffee, you know our actions are completely free of external pressure.
